Volleyball Recap: Orono Comes Up Short

The Orono Riots came up short against the Calais Blue Devils on Thursday and fell 3-1. While the Riots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Devils 25-21 in the first set.

Orono started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-14, 25-9, 25-17.

Orono's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Calais, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Orono will venture away from home to challenge Sumner at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Calais, they will host George Stevens Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
