Recap: St. Mary's vs. Christian Heritage Sentinels

St. Mary lost against the Christian Heritage Sentinels back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Mary's fell 51-44 to Christian Heritage. St. Mary's has not had much luck with Christian Heritage recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

St. Mary's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Darnell, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. John Brogan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Christian Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's is on the road again on Tuesday and plays St. Boniface Catholic Classical at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully St. Mary's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Christian Heritage, they will head out on the road to square off against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Heritage will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something East Texas Homeschool Sports surely won't give up without a fight.
