Baseball Recap: JSerra Catholic Comes Up Short

JSerra Catholic extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 10-17 in the process. They came up short against Oaks Christian, falling 10-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Oaks Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 on Monday.

As for Oaks Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-8. The result was nothing new for Oaks Christian, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

For Oaks Christian's part, the team relied heavily on Carson Sheffer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Sheffer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quentin Young, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

JSerra Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oaks Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-2 victory against Redlands East Valley on the 16th.
