Eisenhower is a perfect 3-0 against Notre Dame since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Titans at 3:45 p.m. Eisenhower will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Eisenhower will bounce into Friday's game after beating Bloomington, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 7-3 win over the Bruins on Wednesday.
Jenna Vallin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cari Nelson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Azaleah Baca was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Notre Dame and Arrowhead Christian, and Arrowhead Christian kept the tradition alive. The Titans lost 10-4 to the Eagles on Tuesday.
Teresa Avila made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Eisenhower pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eisenhower hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .400. However, it's not like Notre Dame struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
