Choctaw Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Yazoo County Panthers by a score of 28-20.

Despite the loss, Yazoo County still got an impressive performance from Chandler Hardman, who rushed for 213 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

Choctaw Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Yazoo County, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Choctaw Central will venture away from home to square off against Leake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Gators' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Yazoo County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on O'Bannon at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
