Woodside is 8-2 against Phoebus since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Woodside Wolverines are taking a road trip to challenge the Phoebus Phantoms at 7:00 p.m. Woodside will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Woodside is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Green Run, who was ranked sixth at the time (Woodside was ranked tenth). Woodside took down Green Run 78-64 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Phoebus ended up a good deal behind Denbigh on Thursday and lost 59-44.

Woodside pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Phoebus, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Woodside against Phoebus when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 91-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
