Volleyball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

If Alhambra was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Concord last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Benicia Panthers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-11.

Alhambra now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Benicia, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Looking ahead, Alhambra will face off against Berean Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Benicia, they will take on Acalanes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
