Softball Recap: Holden Falls Short of Quitman in the Playoffs

Holden and Quitman squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Holden had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-5 to the Wolverines, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Holden's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Quitman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-10.

Holden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Quitman, they will challenge Grace Christian on Friday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
