While Watervliet's victory against Coloma wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Comets 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 on Tuesday.

Watervliet saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmett Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Williams has hit this season. Nathan Harasewicz was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Watervliet and bumps their season record up to 13-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Coloma, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Coming up, Watervliet will face off against Kellogg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coloma, they are taking a road trip to challenge Paw Paw at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
