Nixon-Smiley might have lost, but man, Garet Gonzales was a machine: he picked up 96 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Gonzales got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 58 yards. Nixon-Smiley also got a significant boost from Joe White, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stockdale). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-34 win over Natalia. The game was the first time the Brahmas have beaten the Mustangs on their field since October 21, 2016.
