Recap: Glencliff Colts vs. Smyrna Bulldogs
Even though the Smyrna Bulldogs scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, the Glencliff Colts still came out on top. Glencliff took down Smyrna 77-63. The win was all the more spectacular given Glencliff's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Smyrna is ranked 85th).
Despite the loss, Smyrna still got an impressive performance from Kaleil Lyons, who scored 10 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals. Ze'keice Mccarver was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Glencliff is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Smyrna, they have yet to win a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-3 record.
Glencliff will stay at home for another game and welcome Knowledge Academies at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. As for Smyrna, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Juliet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mount Juliet is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
