Softball Recap: Wicksburg Panthers vs. Thorsby Rebels
Wicksburg had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Thorsby Rebels a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Considering Wicksburg has won 30 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Anleigh Wood was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Joyner, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
The win was the 11th in a row for Wicksburg, bringing their record for this year to 42-12-1. As for Thorsby, their loss dropped their record down to 23-10-2.
As of now, neither Wicksburg nor Thorsby have any future games scheduled.
