Baseball Recap: Gateway Charter Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gateway Charter can now relate to. They lost 7-0 to the Community School of Naples Seahawks on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Griffins have lost by exactly seven runs.

Gateway Charter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edilson Alvarez, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Gateway Charter is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18. As for Community School of Naples, their record now sits at 15-10.

Gateway Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Community School of Naples, they will take on Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sharks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Seahawks surely won't give up without a fight.
