Baseball Recap: Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Comes Up Short

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 23 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They came up short against the Canajoharie Cougars, falling 28-4. The Golden Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Canajoharie, their record now sits at 5-3. Considering they have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Canajoharie's part, Conner Mueller looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Aiden Bowerman was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and three doubles. He has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Sullevan Stinson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
