Wendy Woll commands the offense for Destroyers win

Recap: Dunellen Destroyers vs. Middlesex County Vo-Tech Hornets

The Dunellen Destroyers won the last time they faced the Middlesex County Vo-Tech Hornets, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Dunellen enjoyed a cozy 51-34 win over the Hornets. Given Dunellen's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Hornets are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dunellen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wendy Woll out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Woll is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Jimenez, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Dunellen is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Middlesex County Vo-Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.

Dunellen will be playing at home against the Setters at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mother Seton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Middlesex County Vo-Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
