Basketball Recap: North Tampa Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

North Tampa Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 68-27 victory over the Classical Prep Lions. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Leading North Tampa Christian Academy to victory were Magdalynn Higgins and Adrionna Butzky. Higgins went 9-for-18 on her way to 23 points and four steals, while Butzky shot 75% from the field to rack up 14 points and five steals. Jayde McCloud was another key player, putting up eight points along with six steals and five assists.

North Tampa Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Classical Prep only racked up eight.

Classical Prep's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Milanes, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. Milanes is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 46% in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

North Tampa Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-32 victory against Countryside on the 18th. As for Classical Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-33 win against Academy at the Lakes on the 20th.
