Glen Allen and Atlee are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Jaguars will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Glen Allen 3, Atlee 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Glen Allen took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hermitage a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Jaguars have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaidyn Tillman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Tillman was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Maeve Haun was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Caroline Jessie was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Atlee entered their tilt with Manchester on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Lancers 7-5.
Like Glen Allen, Atlee also got a great game from a two-way player: Sierra Kegley. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Kegley has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, Camdyn Metts was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Natalie Sponaugle, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Atlee pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Glen Allen, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Glen Allen has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Atlee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Glen Allen came up short against Atlee in their previous meeting back in April, falling 4-1. Will the Jaguars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
