Basketball Game Preview: Old Redford Academy Ravens vs. University Prep Panthers

The Old Redford Academy Ravens will take on the University Prep Panthers in a tournament on Tuesday. Old Redford Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully University Prep likes a good challenge.

Old Redford Academy beat Redford Union on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 67-40. The Ravens have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, University Prep waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lakers 74-30. The Panthers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the eighth contest they've won by 20+ points this season.

Old Redford Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. University Prep's victory bumped their record up to 20-5.

Old Redford Academy beat University Prep 61-54 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Old Redford Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
