Morenci put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 50-46 W over the San Carlos Braves. The 50-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the defeat, San Carlos saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leandro Simbolo posted nine points along with seven assists and six boards. Simbolo is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Leshawn Browning was another key player, putting up seven points along with six steals and five boards.

Morenci's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for San Carlos, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Morenci will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on San Miguel at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. San Carlos and St. Michael will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
