Rocori has gone a perfect 4-0 against Detroit Lakes recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Spartans will look to defend their home field against the Lakers at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rocori has three straight victories, Detroit Lakes has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Rocori's win against Hutchinson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Tyler Prom spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rocori saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Stalboerger, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Stalboerger has hit this season. Another was Caleb Maddox, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Detroit Lakes fell victim to Perham and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Yellowjackets.

Detroit Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rocori, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything went Rocori's way against Detroit Lakes when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Rocori made off with a 7-1 victory. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Lakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
