Volleyball Recap: Monrovia Victorious

Monrovia's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Owen Valley Patriots. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Monrovia was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-29, 25-14, 26-24.

Ciara Elliott went supernova, getting 14 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Elliott wasn't the only good server: Monrovia was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
