Basketball Recap: Trenton Comes Up Short

Trenton lost against Lawson back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trenton Bulldogs fell to the Lawson Cardinals 49-45. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Isaac Willoughby, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 22 points and eight rebounds for Lawson. Another player making a difference was Andrew Phipps, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 14 points and five boards.

Trenton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Lawson, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-17 record.

Trenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lawson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-35 loss against Lexington on the 28th.
