Football Game Preview: Columbia Tigers vs. Buchholz Bobcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Columbia Tigers challenge Buchholz Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Columbia has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Buchholz will arrive with five straight wins.

Columbia's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Lincoln on Wednesday. They received a blow as they fell 16-0 to the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Buchholz never let their opponents score on Thursday. They strolled past Forest with points to spare, taking the game 18-0. The 18-point effort marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The critical scores for Buchholz came from Atera Clark, Taylor Booth, and Suzanna Byrne.

Buchholz didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Booth led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Buchholz's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
