Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Academy Eagles vs. Brandeis Bulldogs

The Eagle Academy Eagles will take on the Brandeis Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eagle Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Brandeis likes a good challenge.

Eagle Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 58-50 victory over Beachside. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked sixth in New York, while the Barracudas are ranked 283rd in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Brandeis came up short against Marshall Academy on Saturday and fell 65-54.

Brandeis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Eagle Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.

Everything came up roses for Eagle Academy against Brandeis when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 87-54 victory. Will Eagle Academy repeat their success, or does Brandeis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
