Recap: Troy Warriors vs. Sonora Raiders
After a string of four wins, The Troy Warriors''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a tough 34-14 loss at the hands of Sonora. Despite 171 more yards than Sonora, Troy couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Mundt, who rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown. Declan Kai healey also helped out as he racked up 110 receiving yards.
Anthony Abad was his usual excellent self, rushing for 166 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Alexsay Nazaroff got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Troy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Sonora, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Troy will head out on the road to face off against Sunny Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sonora, they will play host again and welcome La Habra, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Habra is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
