Basketball Recap: Valley Christian's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Valley Christian extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping them up to 4-0. They took down the Sacred Heart Prep Gators 66-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sacred Heart Prep fell to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Despite the defeat, Sacred Heart Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Pat Bala went 6-for-10 en route to 19 points. Bala continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Osterloh, who posted four points and five boards.

Coming up, Valley Christian and Burlingame will face off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Warriors' defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 62.8 points per game this season. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they and Palo Alto will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
