Flag Football Recap: Mountain View Extends Winning Streak to 13 + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Mountain View rose to the challenge on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 33-6 victory over the Air Academy Kadets. Considering the Mountain Lions have won ten matchups by more than 26 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Mountain View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Olivia Guerrero and Jesika Hopkins. Guerrero has been hot, having also posted at least one defended passe the last five times she's played.

The win (which was Mountain View's 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.2 points over those games. As for Air Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Coming up, Mountain View will take on Pomona at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Mountain Lions 7.7, the Panthers 7.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Air Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
