Softball Recap: Seton Comes Up Short

Seton blew Oakcrest out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Oakcrest got their revenge. The Conquistadors fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 12-10. The Conquistadors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Christina Witter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Armstrong, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Seton's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Oakcrest, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

As of now, neither Seton nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
