Baseball Recap: Gateway Charter Gets the Win

While Gateway Charter's win against Babcock wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Griffins' pitchers stepped up to hand the Trailblazers a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Griffins haven't had any issues with the Trailblazers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jack Anastasio was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Gateway Charter's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Babcock, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Gateway Charter will have a chance to go back-to-back against Babcock: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
