7A District 1 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Chiles moved up to 300 from 391 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 1. The Timberwolves climbed the ranks as a result of a 54-7 win over the Timberwolves.
Lincoln took down Chiles 54-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kendall Randolph threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 20 yards in the win.
The Trojans' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Ben Robinson chipped in 111 yards. Joshua Deckerhoff helped Lincoln's passing attack out by catching one ball for 54 yards.
Taj Williams was the best wideout in the league this week as Lincoln topped the Timberwolves. Williams tallied three receptions for 56 yards.
Chiles' Ben Hatch and Jonathan Scaringe have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hatch has thrown for 595 yards this season, while Scaringe has 11 catches for 227 yards. Buchholz's Kenny Scott leads the league in rushing yards with 403.
The Timberwolves made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,648 from 8,154. The improvement came about via a 54-7 victory over Chiles last week.
