Basketball Recap: Liberty-Eylau Takes a Loss

Liberty-Eylau lost against Hooks back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Liberty-Eylau Leopards might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Hooks Hornets an easy 60-37 victory. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Hornets are ranked 130th).

Liberty-Eylau has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Hooks, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty-Eylau and Pewitt will round out the year against one another at at 9:30 a.m. on December 27th. Hooks and Atlanta will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
