Basketball Recap: Ferndale Comes Up Short

Ferndale blew Pershing out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Pershing got their revenge. The Ferndale Eagles fell just short of the Pershing Doughboys by a score of 63-60. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since January 3rd.

The defeat snapped Ferndale's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-14 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Pershing, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Ferndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pershing, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Pershing surely won't give up without a fight.
