Adriane Garza Delivers Best Performance of Season

Mitchell was led to victory by Adriane Garza, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Garza rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Mitchell's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. Garza and Mitchell will face off against Amherst at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hershey found a leader in Rhodee Hill as the team took down Gordon-Rushville on Friday. Gordon-Rushville had no answer to Hill as he made 21 total tackles (1.0 for loss). Hill was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.

Gordon-Rushville had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Hill it was a similar story. Hill picked up 0.5 sacks and made 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss) the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October of 2023.

Kyler Vincent Has Career Rushing Day

Gordon-Rushville came up short on Friday despite Kyler Vincent delivering his best game to date. Vincent rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

If the past is any indication, Vincent could be in store for another big game when he takes on Valentine on Friday. When Vincent last faced the back in September of 2023, he rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Jacob Bosshamer Turns in Season-Best Performance

Sadly, Jacob Bosshamer posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Kearney Catholic over Mitchell on Friday. Bosshamer threw for 373 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes.

Kearney Catholic's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. Bosshamer and Kearney Catholic will challenge Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Atreyu May Leads Kearney Catholic over Mitchell

Kearney Catholic came up short on Friday despite Atreyu May delivering his best game to date. May picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 60 yards.

For the year, May has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 40.1 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 0.57 receiving yards per game.
