Basketball Recap: Jason Crowe Jr Key Part of a Team Effort in Sentinels Win

Inglewood was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Village Christian on Monday. Everything went the Inglewood Sentinels' way against the Village Christian Crusaders as the Inglewood Sentinels made off with a 90-66 win. For the Sentinels, this counts as revenge for the 64-35 victory the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.

Inglewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jason Crowe Jr, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten assists. Crowe Jr's afternoon made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Parker Jefferson, who went 10 of 14 en route to 27 points and seven rebounds.

Inglewood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Inglewood's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Village Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Inglewood and Village Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Inglewood (ranked 60th) will meet Narbonne (ranked 990th) at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Inglewood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 82.4 points per game this season. Similarly, Village Christian (ranked 127th) will meet Whittier Christian (ranked 719th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
