Volleyball Recap: SADY KELLY Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Debbie Smith CTE Academy

Incline won the last time they faced Debbie Smith CTE Academy and LILI MORRISON did her part to make sure it happened again. The Highlanders blew past the Mavericks 3-0 on Friday thanks in part to MORRISON, who had 32 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

One reason for the win was Incline's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-10.

Incline got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was SADY KELLY out in front who had ten digs, four aces, and two blocks. Those two blocks gave KELLY a new career-high. PENELOPE NELSON was another key player, getting five kills, three blocks, and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Incline was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Debbie Smith CTE Academy only served five.

Incline now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Debbie Smith CTE Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Coincidentally, Incline and Debbie Smith CTE Academy will both be playing Wooster the next time they take the court. The Highlanders will host the Colts at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mavericks will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
