Recap: Jacobs Golden Eagles vs. Central Rockets
The Jacobs Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central. Jacobs has not had much luck with Central recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Treval Howard, who scored 20 points. Ben Jurzak was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Jacobs' loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-12. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Jacobs will head out on the road to face off against McHenry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McHenry is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. As for Central, they will play host again and welcome Crystal Lake Central, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Crystal Lake Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Tuesday.
