Basketball Game Preview: Maeser Prep Academy Lions vs. St. Joseph Jayhawks

The Maeser Prep Academy Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the St. Joseph Jayhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Maeser Prep Academy came up short against Rowland Hall and fell 34-24.

Maeser Prep Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Autumn Dossey, who posted five points in addition to 15 rebounds and four steals, and Lillian Nolan, who put up six points and five steals. Nolan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivianny Sarmiento, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took down American Leadership Academy 50-36.

St. Joseph's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Maeser Prep Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Maeser Prep Academy suffered a grim 36-14 defeat to St. Joseph in their previous meeting back in January. Can Maeser Prep Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
