Softball Recap: St. Mary Academy-Bay View Comes Up Short

St. Mary Academy-Bay View managed to slip by Cranston West the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bengals lost 20-5 to the Falcons on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bengals have suffered against the Falcons since May 18, 2019.

Hope Myers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Mary Academy-Bay View and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Cranston West, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Mary Academy-Bay View will challenge rival Ponaganset at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cranston West is set to face off against their familiar foe Coventry at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
