Softball Recap: Waconia Comes Up Short

Waconia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to the Eden Prairie Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 12-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Waconia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ada Harmon, who went 1-for-3 with one run. That run marked the first that Harmon has scored this season.

Waconia's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Eden Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Waconia will head out on the road to square off against New Prague at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eden Prairie, they will welcome Minnetonka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.2, the Skippers 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
