Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Lions vs. Rockdale Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Franklin Lions duke it out with the Rockdale Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Franklin will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Franklin's tournament run continued when they took on Navasota on Saturday. Franklin managed a 55-50 victory over Navasota.

Meanwhile, Rockdale can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Little River Academy as Rockdale made off with a 54-30 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted since December 10, 2024.

Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Rockdale, their win bumped their record up to 6-17.

Everything came up roses for Franklin against Rockdale when the teams last played back in February of 2020, as the team secured an 85-41 victory. Does Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rockdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
