Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Upland Highlanders

For the second straight game, Rancho Cucamonga will face off against Upland. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highlanders at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Cucamonga hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Monday, Rancho Cucamonga didn't have quite enough to beat Upland and fell 2-1.

For Upland's part, Andrew Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Weber has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Upland secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Dylan Trejo, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Trejo a new career-high.

The win snapped Upland's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6-2 record. As for Rancho Cucamonga, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
