McCool Junction skates past East Butler with ease

The McCool Junction Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East Butler 71-29 on the road. McCool Junction has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Ryland Garretson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Garretson is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mapieu Kouchinin, who scored 19 points along with two steals.

McCool Junction's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for East Butler, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCool Junction will take on the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Butler, they will be playing at home against the Storm on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (High Plains is ranked 185th, while the Tigers are ranked 210th).
