Soccer Game Preview: St. Laurence vs. Evergreen Park

The St. Laurence Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Evergreen Park Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Evergreen Park took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Laurence, who comes in off a win.

St. Laurence is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Rosary 8-0 on Thursday. Given St. Laurence's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Rosary are ranked 402nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Lemont, falling 8-1. Evergreen Park were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

The win made it two in a row for St. Laurence and bumps their season record up to 10-4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Evergreen Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
