It was a good run, but St. Joseph Notre Dame unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Salesian College Preparatory Pride. If the Pilots were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Pride when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Cassandra Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
