Softball Recap: Quincy Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Edwardsville, Quincy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 15-12 win over the Galesburg Silver Streaks. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Silver Streaks: they've now won five in a row.

Avary Hlubek was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Neally, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Quincy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.

Quincy's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Galesburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Quincy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Moline on the 7th. As for Galesburg, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-0 defeat against Geneseo on the 7th.
