North Buncombe had won two straight games and Aubrey Gilliland did her part to make it three on Friday. The Black Hawks walked away with a 58-51 win over the A.C. Reynolds Rockets with plenty of help from Gilliland, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played.

A.C. Reynolds lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kendyl Bopp, who shot 42% from the field en route to 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Mary Green, who posted ten points and five boards.

North Buncombe's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for A.C. Reynolds, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 19-6.

North Buncombe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-19 win against East Rowan on the 24th. As for A.C. Reynolds, they have also already played their next contest, a 62-51 victory against Central Cabarrus on the 26th.
