Basketball Game Preview: Second Baptist Eagles vs. St. Michael's Warriors

The Second Baptist Eagles will challenge the St. Michael's Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Second Baptist's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matchups.

Last Tuesday, Second Baptist was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 64-58 to Legacy School of Sport Sciences.

Meanwhile, St. Michael's entered their tilt with Savio on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 69-21. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Eagles are ranked 912th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Second Baptist's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 28-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points over those games. As for St. Michael's, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-4.
