The Foothill Tech Dragons will venture away from home to square off against the Chaminade Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Foothill Tech didn't have quite enough to beat Castaic and fell 11-10. The Dragons have struggled against the Coyotes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cooper Casey was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Casey was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Casey is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Jacory Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Chaminade never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mira Costa as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Chaminade gave Jackson Schroeder the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk).
At the plate, Drew Kostich was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Robby Morgan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Chaminade pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Foothill Tech, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Foothill Tech hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360. However, it's not like Chaminade struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
