Basketball Game Preview: Strasburg Indians vs. Resurrection Christian Cougars

Strasburg is 1-8 against Resurrection Christian since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 2:00 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Strasburg sitting on five straight victories and Resurrection Christian on 41 (dating back to last season).

Strasburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 54-46 win over Windsor Charter Academy.

It was another big night for Nick Glatfelter, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Colton Holloway, who posted three points along with six assists, five rebounds, and four steals.

Strasburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 22-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Resurrection Christian strolled past Centauri with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 49-31. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Falcons are ranked 33rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Resurrection Christian's victory bumped their record up to 27-0. As for Strasburg, their win bumped their record up to 23-4.

Strasburg suffered a grim 55-34 defeat to Resurrection Christian in their previous matchup back in February. Can Strasburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
