Mt. Pleasant waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Ligonier Valley Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 on Wednesday.
Danica Trainer 2027 was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Talia Reho 2027 was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Kendell Waters 2027 was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Mt. Pleasant pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
